Archaeology series 5: Pontius Pilate Inscription

Pilate inscription

-Size:82 centimeters high,65 centimeters wide

-Dated: 26–37 CE

-Discovered in 1961 by Italian archaeologists led by Dr. Antonio Frova. They were excavating an ancient Roman amphitheatre near Caesarea-on-the-Sea (Maritima) when they uncovered the limestone block.

-Composed in Latin
